Shipping & Returns

Current Shipping Times (APR 2024)

Some carriers are currently experiencing shipping delays due to weather conditions (3-5 business days or more for delivery). We are shipping most in-stock items within 1-2 business days. Pre-Order items, FFL items or machining services may require more time. We still, occasionally, experience delays with USPS and FedEx deliveries. Please note a USPS package may show "delivered" but may take additional time to get delivered. If you have any concerns due to delivery times, please review your tracking info or contact the carrier for more details. Unfortunately we cannot provide any further information beyond what is provided in the tracking info.

Shipping Rates

We offer flat rate shipping for most items throughout our website, via USPS or FedEx. All orders will ship with tracking info provided via email. Additionally, most orders will ship USPS Priority or FedEx 2/3-Day. Some USPS orders under 1lb may ship first-class. Some FedEx orders may ship Ground due to size or shipping restrictions. At this time we do not offer UPS shipping due to their public anti-gun policies.

Orders under $150 (before tax) can ship for $8.99 via USPS or $9.99 via FedEx. Signature upon delivery is optional for an additional charge.

Orders equaling $150 or more (before tax) ship for $13.99 via USPS or $14.99 via FedEx. They will require a signature upon delivery to minimize theft, incorrect delivery and/or fraud.

Some extra large items may require additional shipping charges, but will be noted in the item description.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, minus shipping charges and 15% restocking fee. Parts that have been fitted, modified and/or installed are considered used and cannot be returned. Cancelled orders are also subject to a 15% restocking fee to cover card processing fees and labor associated with preparing and refunding your order. We cover shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect item). Firearms, 80% frames, receivers, ammunition or any product may not be returned once modified or not in original packaging. Firearms cannot be returned once transferred. If there are issues with a firearm warranty issues are handled thru the manufacturer. You should expect to receive your refund within 4 weeks of returning your item(s), however, in many cases you will receive a refund sooner. If you need to return an item, please Contact Us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.

Shipping

We ship most items USPS or FedEx to
US destinations only, including Puerto Rico (unless otherwise specified). Note that there are ITAR/EAR export restrictions for most of our products and they will not be shipped to freight forwarding companies or international destinations, including Canada. All shipments leaving our facility receive a tracking number which is forwarded to your email (if provided). If you did not receive tracking please verify your email was entered correctly thru our website and check spam folders.

Please note that shipping time estimates are provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed. The shipping time is an estimated time it will take the package to arrive to you once it leaves our facility and can be delayed due to various situations including weather, operational delays, etc. When you place an order, most items have an estimated shipping date of 2-5 business days (weekends are not included). Increased demand, pre-orders or modified/customized items may require longer lead times. We will do our best to keep you updated of your order status.

AB Prototype is not responsible for theft of packages. If theft is a concern please choose to require a signature upon delivery. Orders shipped without a signature required upon delivery (or if a signature is not captured upon delivery due to carrier reasons) releases AB Prototype of any responsibility for loss, damage and/or theft of the shipment. We cannot be responsible for the security of your delivery location. Our Policy is to require a signature on every order over $149.99. If you choose to decline the Signature Required on your order, any claims for loss, theft, or mis-delivery will be the sole responsibility of the customer. A request and/or authorization for a package to be left at the delivery address without a signature releases AB Prototype of any responsibility for loss, damage and/or theft.
